Sonata (BUS:BUS)

LSO Sonata belongs to the family of LSO Reference Points . It defines the management reference point supporting the management and operations interactions (e.g., ordering, billing, trouble management, etc.) between two network providers (e.g., Service Provider and Partner Domain) (analogous to TMN X reference point)

LSO Sonata connects between the Service Provider domain and the Partner domain in parallel to LSO Interlude.

LSO Architectural Entities

BUS: Business Applications

The provider functionality supporting Business Management Layer functionality (e.g., Product Catalog, Ordering, Billing, Relationship Management, etc.)


CUS: Customer Application Coordinator

Responsible for coordinating the management of the various service needs (e.g., compute, storage, network, etc.) of specific applications in the Customer Domain.


ECM: Element Control and Management

ECM supports element management layer management capabilities for groups of individual elements.


ICM: Infrastructure Control and Management

ICM provides domain specific resource management layer capabilities including configuration, control and supervision of the network infrastructure (e.g., SDN Controller, WAN Controller, NFV MANO, etc.


SOF: Service Orchestration Functionality

The set of service management layer functionality supporting an agile framework for streamlining and automating the service lifecycle in a sustainable fashion for coordinated management.
