Join us in Atlanta for our first Interim Members Meeting of 2025!

The Interim Members Meeting will focus on cross-project work, planning, and coordination. Topic oriented sessions will combine committees in sessions designed to allow members to contribute to the projects related to their business.

Activities for the Week

Tuesday, 11 February The Opening Plenary will cover MEF plans for 2025, the new MEF membership model, certification, and committee updates.  The plenary will be followed by combined committee sessions to discuss details on cross-committee topics (projects that affect work in other committees), certification planning, and rules and procedures updates.

Wednesday, 12 February and Thursday, 13 February Two tracks each day will facilitate detailed discussions between two committees on continuity of work between them in different areas including NaaS, cybersecurity, L1-L3 connectivity, and LSO automation.

At the Closing Plenary midday Thursday each committee will provide readouts in on the progress of work over the course of the members meeting.

As MEF continues to progress our important industry work, the Interim Member Meeting will center around three key areas:

  • Re-orienting member work around topic areas rather than siloing them in each committee.
  • Maximizing coordination between committees on work that can impact other committees' work.
  • Identifying where gaps exist and need to be addressed in the 'development lifecycle' of a given work area.
