All members are invited to participate in the MEF survey Dynamic Third Network Services Enabled By LSO, SDN & NFV, which is scheduled to remain open until 8pm US Pacific Time, Wednesday, 21 October. We are seeking perspectives of service provider, technology, and other industry professionals across the Carrier Ethernet and emerging Third Network community.
This survey is being conducted jointly with Vertical Systems Group (www.verticalsystems.com), which currently is working on a broader research project that includes case studies and analytic insights based on one-on-one interviews.
This is the third in a series of MEF surveys exploring the Carrier Ethernet market transition from static connectivity services to dynamic Third Network connectivity services powered by LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration), SDN (Software Defined Networking), and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization). This survey builds upon the earlier studies by:
Focusing exclusively on the drivers, benefits, and challenges of deploying dynamic Third Network services
Exploring available and planned dynamic capabilities that customers can control on their own networks, and
Developing a greater understanding of the role and relative importance that LSO, SDN & NFV will play alongside CE 2.0 in driving the market forward.
We are asking you to take less than 12 minutes to answer the survey questions. Aggregated anonymous results of the survey will be shared with you in a free, complimentary report that will be available in December.
