Kevin Vachon – Chief Operating Officer

Responsibilities

Kevin leads the MEF recruiting, retention, and member liaison functions including emerging marketing development activities. He coordinates staff and contracted resources required to enable the volunteer activities of the committees and to provide the necessary administrative and IT infrastructures required for the MEF to operate and scale.

Biography

Appointed as MEF COO in 2006, Kevin leads a team that builds, supports, and scales MEF’s ever-increasing mix of global programs activities. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and a senior MEF representative to the press and analyst community, and he oversees MEF liaison relationships with selected associations, Open Source projects, and standards organizations.

During Kevin’s tenure, membership has tripled to over 220 companies, representing 43 countries, Service Provider membership has increased tenfold, and MEF certification programs have expanded dramatically. Kevin is also the creator and Executive Director of MEF’s GEN14, GEN15, and MEF16, 17, 18, 19, and the MEF Infinite Edge Series events.

Kevin held the position of CEO of DIATEM Networks Inc., a Carrier Ethernet software company, from 2003 to 2005 and was President and CEO of NUVO Network Management, a network management outsourcing firm, from 1996 to 2002. Previously, he held other senior management positions with NUVO and spent 10 years in a wide variety of capacities with Gandalf Technologies, a network equipment manufacturer.

Pascal Menezes – Chief Technology Officer

Responsibilities

In his role as CTO, Pascal leads MEF’s technical strategy and aligns key work programs internally and in conjunction with open-source and SDO partners. Pascal engages with MEF’s global membership base to ensure that the organization’s strategy and work plans are market-driven, with agility and time to market being prime objectives.

Biography

Pascal is a proven technology thought leader, sales evangelist, product manager, and seasoned IP architect with close to 30 years of experience in internetworking, next-generation information systems, and communication architectures. As the founder of TSCM Technology he is focused on the building of cloud-scale architectures and real-time media networks using Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO). After almost a decade at Microsoft he was Principal Program Manager for Skype for Business leading strategic programs such as SDN, Real Time Media over Wi-Fi, and Skype for Business using Azure Express Route with QoS.

Responsibilities

As VP Strategic Programs Daniel is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of strategic MEF programs that are central to MEF's transformation to an agile-process-oriented standards development organization. Programs in his purview include SD-WAN,  the MEF 3.0 Implementation Projects, MEF Proofs of Concept, MEF Product Release Management, and the MEF Software Developer Community. Daniel also manages business development for MEF in the Europe and Africa regions.

Biography

Daniel has been involved in the networking industry for 25 years holding a variety of positions in RAD Data Communications as well as co-founding Resolute Networks where he held executive positions. Representing Resolute in MEF, Daniel served for 3 years as MEF Global Marketing Co-Chair and was elected three times to the MEF Board of Directors. Since 2010, Daniel has been a senior member of the MEF staff creating and leading strategic programs including MEF Certification and retooling of MEF's collaborative infrastructure including the MEF Wiki.

Lori Vachon – Director Global Events

Responsibilities

As Director Global Events, Lori oversees MEF's global events program including project managing all aspects of quarterly member meetings, virtual workshops, industry events, and project management of our flagship event MEF21 and Infinite Edge Series. In addition, she is responsible for sponsor sales for MEF21 and the Infinite Edge Series. Over the years, Lori has been instrumental managing relationships with industry organizers to allow members the opportunity to participate in events all around the globe. 

Biography

Lori has been involved in the events industry for 25 years in various industries including technology, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.  During her tenure with MEF since 2007, she has traveled all around the globe expanding her role into member retention, and recruitment in Europe, Asia, Central & Latin America, and North America. Her experience success building relationships by working closely with members in various cultures countries has been a valuable asset to key to keeping them engaged in MEF.

Responsibilities

Christopher is MEF’s Director of International Marketing, APAC Business Development. He is focused on the adoption of MEF's brand and subsequently its products (technical standards & SDKs) by the broader industry. Through the expanding awareness of MEF, and its mission, Christopher is focused on brand-driven programs that encourage engagement and contribution from the Information Communications & Technology industry. His objectives include both growth in membership as well as growth in active participation. While based in Australia, Christopher is also integral to the on-going development of the region’s members.

Biography

Christopher has worked in the ICT industry for 30 years covering application development consulting, security & privacy management, enterprise architecture, and networking, across various roles within global multi-national consulting firms through to small boutique outfits. For the last fifteen years, Chris has focused his efforts within the telecommunications sector in sales & marketing functions. Since 2011, Christopher has been involved with MEF, representing a MEF member company. A frequent contributor, he co-authored white papers on cloud computing, contributed to standards, edited the in-depth coverage of service assurance within the carrier ethernet service domain, and was lead author of the 2014 MEF vision paper that later culminated in MEF 3.0. He has spoken on behalf of MEF, participating in their outreach programs in multiple parts of the globe. Christopher joined the MEF staff in 2019.

Stan Hubbard – Director of Communications & Research

Responsibilities

Stan directs MEF's internal and external communications, press & analyst relations, program development/content for global events and workshops, and market research. He authors and coordinates Member Bulletins, FAQs, blogs, articles, and presentations for internal and external audiences, and he also manages videos on the MEF YouTube channel. He contributes to a broad range of strategic initiatives related to SD-WAN, SASE, CE, LSO, certification, etc. 

Biography

Stan has more than 23 years of experience in industry analysis, strategic marketing, event programming, and communications. In 2013, he joined MEF, where he has directs program development for global networking events, manages press and analyst relations, and contributes to strategic initiatives to accelerate MEF 3.0 adoption. Prior to MEF, Stan was a Senior Analyst at Heavy Reading, where he focused on Carrier Ethernet and SDN. He chaired 20 major Light Reading CE events worldwide. Prior to that, Stan was the director of market intelligence at Ciena.

Biography

Alysia joined MEF in 2010 and brings experience from multiple industries. Prior to MEF, she was the Administrative Coordinator for another non-profit, served four years in the United States Army as an Arab linguist and four years as an editorial assistant and freelance writer for the Washington Post.

Biography

Tom joined MEF in 2014 to assist with the technical support, both internally and for the members. Previously he has handled corporate IT and facilities management for Finarta and CTS, including data center server configuration, along with managing the US technical support division of Tandberg Data.
